Hi Margo
- your family name intrigues me - it is definately BRANNEY? I only ask 'cos
we have STRANEY in our line - somethimes shown as STRANNY and they are
notoriously hard to find! I have them first in Whitehaven, Cumberland and
then coming across to Carlisle - but I am pretty certain they too originated
in Ireland .

So far I only have Bernard STRANEY born 1790's in Carlisle to John STRANEY
and Frances (Lanaughan).

Margaret - d/o of Bernard is husbands 2x grt grandmother - and died in Annan.

Any likelihood of the names being familiar?
