Hi Ian,

At the risk of getting off the topic as some like to say, I would like to
welcome you to New Zealand. I live in the Sth Island in Timaru, but spent
my first years in Christchurch after leaving Glasgow as a baby. If I can
be of any help at all please let me know. Otherwise I hope we turn on some
good weather for you while in the Sth Island. I will be in Scotland in
July, so hope I too will get some fine weather.

Hi folks,

A quick update at the request of one of our listers.

Left Mull Saturday 25th February. Arrived Auckland via Melbourne not Sydney
as planned, Wednesday 29th February some 24 hours late. As part of this
adventure we clocked into the same hotel in Dubai three times. Have to say
the flights and crew were excellent but the ground crew literally did not
know left hand from right. Airline will be receiving a stiff letter from me
seeking compensation.

Have seen quite a bit of North Island despite the late arrival. Heading for
Wellington tomorrow for a week and then South Island.

I can see why folks say that New Zealand is so much like Scotland.

Ian
