I am of the opinion that the Allan McCormack listed in the census as a
carter lodging with the Angus McLean family is a son of Duncan McCormick &
Catherine Campbell born about 1849 Kilfinichen Parish. Allan was a brother
of my grandfather Archibald McCormick.
Just as a matter of interest I have found the spelling in various census
returns of my McCormick's as McCormick, MacCormick & McCormack so it pays to
check all options.
