Thank you for that very interesting article.
I had no documentation on which to base my statement, other than
something Jo Currie had once told me.
In my Ontario research on McKinnons, one of the "facts" I use to sort
out the McKinnons is, if they are Catholic they are NOT from Mull. If
they are RC and from Glengarry and area (Ontario) they are very
possibly from Skye...etc
However, there are a couple of families in Glenelg (other than the one
Ida has mentioned) who claim to be Irish and RC. I still haven't
sorted those ones out.
So my very general statement means it not likely they were RC and from
Mull. There's an exception to every rule...but in genealogy often we
go with our own little hunches.
