I have a little bit about that family.....but nothing that will help
you sort out your McDonald problem.

Either there was no religion indicated or I missed it.

You have 1871 and 1881.

1891 pg 46 still in Glenelg with wife Flora

1901 you have

The death certificate for Angus is:

Angus McKinnon July 19 1913 ahe 80 years
cause of death old age

informant: Daniel McDonald, Irish Lake
father: hector McKinnon
mother: Annie McCormack

The John McKinnon in the 1861 census is possibly brother to Angus.
John married a Margaret McDonald and their children were Ann 1858,
Catherine 1860, Hector 1865, Mary 1866, Christina 1867, catherine 1869
and Donald John 1875. Catherine is likely the one living with Angus
and Flora in 1881 and again in 1911.
I can't find most of these children and even John and Margaret have
disappeared by 1911 census.
Daughter Christina marries a Donald McDonald who was born in Glenelg
but is living in Nelson Michigan when they marry. Who knows, amybe
everyone goes to Michigan.
Donald is the son of Neil McDonald and Margaret McCormack.
