Good morning from a very springlike Ontario
Thanks for the various emails on McPhees. As I mentioned I am checking
out McKinnons in various areas of Ontario, but like most genealogists
can't resist being sidetracked by other families.
The settlers of Normanby seem to be mostly German, so I would guess
the Gaelic speaking McKinnons and McPhees would stick together. I
notice there are a number of McPhee to McPhee marriages, but I will
leave that for McPhee researchers to sort out.
Around 1881 there were the following in Normanby:
Malcolm McPhee Con 2 Lot 45
Neil McPhee on Con 2 Lot 44
Archie McPhee on Con 2 lot 47
John McPhee on Con 2 Lot 49
AND...my final contribution on McPhees from Normanby...if you GOOGLE
McPhee Normanby Twp there is a great picture of a picnic of supporters
of Agnes McPhail a politician and activist. Many people in the picture
are named and many are McPhees.
