Now I am really beginning to question my own research. I wonder where does
the Jane Livingston I have come in? I thought this one belonged to our
line.
I have Donald Livingston, abt 1776-aft 1861, married to Cirsty Campbell, abt
1778-aft 1861, with children Neil, 1805, Jean, 1807, Hugh, 1809, Alexander,
1811, John, 1814; Duncan, 1817; Cirsty, 1824. All baptized as lawful
children of Donald Livingston and Cirsty Campbell.
Writing from an old Parish register was difficult to read, and it was
believed to be Jean or Jane.
Tombstone for Jane Livingston, Kilpatrick Cemetery, says "In Memory of Jane
Livingstone, beloved wife of William Vass, who died 12 August 1872, aged 64
years" making her birth date about 1808, and making me believe it was
"ours."
Perhaps the person I have always considered to be our Jean/Jane really isn't
at all. In which case, after all these years believing it was so, I wonder
what became of of the Jean, sister of Neil, Hugh, Alexander, John, Duncan
and Cirsty??
So now, June, you have really got me wondering as well. Could well be after
all these years of work, I have attached the wrong person to the wrong
family??? I sure do hope not, but maybe.
Dawn Livingstone
