My family probably made the same trip but 36 years later. I have been told
that passenger lists were not maintained because both Scotland and Canada
were part of the British commonwealth. Obviously lists do exist. Is there a
way to find ships and passenger lists from 1844 ?
Thanks

Thought this passenger list of the "Clarendon" which sailed in 1808 from
Tobermory, for Charlottetown, P.E.I. might be of interest.
