Hello Ida, Yes, Ian and Les have been most helpful to me in tracing my line back. I have some names dating back to 1797 I cannot attach. I'm just stuck now.

Elizabeth Mcinnes Or Innes is my great great grandmother. Isabella her first daughter b. 1850 is my grandmother.

I have a note of David's Campbell's death in 1905 his grandson William Rowatt notified, dear boy! I believe when he died he was the Salen Harbour Master.

Duncan Campbell b. 1797 married Margaret MacKinnon

I was interested in the Livingston name because as you have found, David & Elizabeth named one of their children with that family name. As I don't have anything better to do I search for this sort of information and usually find it gets me nowhere! LOL.

As to the relationship of Elizabeth Jane Livingstone, sister in law, b. Banff. When I see relationships in census I take them to relate to the head of the house. I have to admit I took her to be sister in law to David Campbell, but I see that I was misguided.

I have the 1851 Census where David Campbell has a Janet MacKinnon relative aged 60
I am posting to you privately my spreadsheet notes. You'll see how I work with them, you're welcome to take what there is that interests. If you can link us up I would be most interested.

I wish I could be of more help, but it seems your interests might help me now.

Janet
