Hi All

I am not sure if this means anything to anyone , but I snapped this stone which was close to some of my own Campbell family graves at Kilkerran in Campbeltown.

Erected by Colin Campbell
In Loving memory of his beloved wife
Mary McMillan
who died 10 Sep 1897 age 30yrs
also of his father
James Campbell
who died 19 Sep 1880 age 83yrs
and his mother
Elizabeth Campbell
who died 18 Jan 1903 age 83 yrs
and also his brother LORN
31st Batt. Canadian Infantry killed in action in France
20 Sep 1916 aged 22yrs
His wife Sarah McDougall
died 9 Dec 1922 age 63yrs.
The above Colin died
29 May 1942 aged 81yrs

On the base of the stone.
Their daughter Elizabeth Campbell died 9 Jan ??? age 90yrs
===============
I had a quick look on the IGI to see what I might find out in relation to this family, and was under the impression that James Campbell may have been born in Glasgow, but hasten to add that was only a very rushed look.

Regards
Stewart Campbell
