Well Ian, you left yourself wide open there. What year was that???
But seriously, how wide an area did the Oban Times cover do you know? Would
it have been the only paper for a large area?
As a matter of interest we had an Irish/Scottish visitor here last week who
as an Army engineer, was involved in the building of the bridge at Glenforsa
a few years ago! I hope when he returns(business purposes, working out of
Sydney now) there will be time to fire questions at him as well.
On the side he is busy researching his relatives near Sydney in the 1820's,
and I have a book here for him where they feature in the first chapter. It
is a small world!
