A shortened form of the 1779 Census is available online for those who have
internet access at:
http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Park/8997/agyllcensus.htm
Judy, if you don't have internet access, let me know and I will see what I
can find on you McPhee and Eachern surnames.
Also, here is another interesting site containing journals or magazines from
the 18th and 19th C. Scotland, i.e.. Gentlemen's, notes and quotes that I
just learned about on the Dumfrieshire mailing list:
www.bodley.ox.ac.uk/ilej/
I'm probably behind the times with this site that I just learned about from
the Henrico mailing list, but while I'm on a roll, I thought I'd share it
with you anyway. The LDS paper version of their Research Outlines for the
States and countries all over the world have been invaluable guides for
research. Now they are available online:
http://www.dearmyrtle.com/00/ldsoutlines.htm
Happy hunting,
Barbara
