I noticed you mentioned an ELLA married to a SCHWARTZ that
may have been in NY or PA. Do you have dates for them? I am looking for an Ella Schwartz who had two sons, Clyde and Harold Schwartz. Census info says she (and son Clyde were born PA). Half-brother Harold was born NY. In 1910 they were in Buffalo, but she was listed as widowed, age 51. We don't know her husband's name or if she was actually married to him. We do know that Harold's real father was named White. Mother thought Clyde's father could have also been a Clyde, but she doesn't really know. Mother also thinks Ella's maiden name (or some other family name) could have been KREINER (or some variation), but I haven't verified that yet. There is a 1900 Buffalo census where she is listed as "SWARTZ" instead of SCHWARTZ, age 44, born Dec/1856--but Clyde and Harold are also there with her, so we think she is the same Ella Schwartz as in the 1910 census of Buffalo.
