Sarah, I wonder if there is any information out there that could find those
who were in the Jamestown Colony in the 1600's. I found one site that had
two Sands surnames but failed to bookmark it. In your mail you stated that
maybe the Sands in Virginia were descended from these people. I have traced
my ancestors back to 1776 in Elizabeth City County, Va. but cannot get any
further back. His name was Penuel Sands and he married a Margaret Skinner.
His will was written in 1776 and that is as far back as I can get. If anyone
knows of anything from 1776 backwards or forward on Penuel and his children
I sure would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks in advance.
