Abijah Sands, (Hannah Warring), only son, Abijah, died single.

The Sands ancestors in the southern states prob. came from the Sands
branches who were involved in the Jamestown, VA, Colony, i.e.

Sir Samuel, (Mercy Culpepper), shareholder of the VA Co.

Sir Edwin, (Margaret Eveleigh, etc.), founder of the Bermuda Co., and on
the "Counsell" of Jamestown Colony, 1609,

Miles or Michael, (Elizabeth Cooke), on the "Counsell" of Jamestown
Colony,

William, lived in "James Cittye",
Thomas, (Mary Thornhurst, Marg. Tyas), listed by Capt. John Smith as one
of the earliest settlers, an early VA "planter",

all supposedly bros. of Rev. Henry, father of James of Block Isl., RI
