I THINK:

Mary Sands, b. abt. 1688, d/o Samuel Sands, (Mary Ray), m. 12/17/1721,
Col. John Reid II, b. 7/27/1686, s/o John Reid, (Margaret Miller), from
Shanks, Scotland, a landscaper, who grew up at Niddrew Castle, came in
1683, to NJ.

Mary and John's dau., Anna Reid, b. 2/18/1723/4, m. Obadiah Bowne II, b.
abt. 1717, s/o Obadiah Bowne, b. 1666, who m. Elizabeth Bowne, his 1st
cousin, and 2nd, Elizabeth Longfield (Longvelt). Obadiah I was the s/o
John Bowne, (Lydia Holmes).

John Bowne who m. Dorothy Sands does not seem to belong to Obadiah II,
but perhaps one of his bros., John Bowne, 1664, James Bowne, 1667,
William Bowne, 1670, or Samuel Bowne, 1673.
