Hello.

I'm very new to this list so hope someone will be able to help me.

One of my g.grandfathers sisters married a Russian/Polish man but I have very little information about him. I have no idea when he came to England, whether he came with his parents or not. I have no record of their names.

Possibly came to England came prior to 1918.

Name; JOHN CHESSLOFF DRODOFF.
Born; October 1878 in Russia. Died 1925 in London.
He was discharged from the 1001 Russian Labour Corps.

Married Ethel Louisa TINGEY in 1915 in London. No children.

In 1918 he enlisted in the army, number 557313, demobbed in April 1919 from Nottingham.

I'm sorry this is rather 'sketchy' but would like to find out something of this man's background.
