I am also interested in learning more about Sarah Romans. She married my gggrandfather Daniel Rater. I heard, through my mother, that there is a Native American connection. I think it was the Chippewa tribe in Minnesota. I'm in the process of learning more about this possible connection. I see that your post is several years old, so perhaps you have found more information.
