Hi Pat! I am the original poster's (Harold Roden) niece and here is what we have been told my grandparents:

Thomas Benton Roden 1st married Josephine Farrington
they had 4 children, he then remarried ?
They had my great-grandfather Floyd Madison Roden
Floyd married Sharlotte Melinda Fish. Floyd died then Sharlotte married Ferrell Munson.

We do not have a lot of information, other than thomas was from alabama and ended up in texas. I would love to find out if there is a connection, so please email me - Can't wait to hear from you.
