I received a great Christmas present, a book titled "Tales Of New England Past", edited by Frank Oppel, published by Castle Books division of Book Sales Inc. It contains reprints of articles from the late 1800 early 1900. The articles are from Harpers New Monthly Magazine, The Outing Magazine, The New England Magazine, and others like these. They tell about whaling, farming, business, and life in the late 1800 early 1900. The book includes engravings and pictures. If you are interested in life during that era this is a good book.
