I have just stumbled accross your message board on John Rigby. If we are talking about the same Rigbye (John Thomas Rigbye) I am his ggg grand daughter. His son Henry Haimer Rigbye is my great grandfather, who's daughter Harriot Ivy Rigbye married my grandfather Joseph Thunder.

I have also discovered that the Rigbye's were some of the first pioneers in Eaglehawk, Victoria, Australia and and number of them including John Thomas Rigbye are listed in a book that has been published.

The book is called:

Eaglehawk & district pioneer register VOL 5 R & S by Annette O'Donohue & Bev Hanson

Also Henry Haimer Rigbye's son, Percy Rigbye was killed in action at Dardanelles, Turkey on 25 April 1915. If you are interested, you can access and read online copies of his war records and letters written by his father to the AIF
