Dear Listers,
I wonder if anyone can help me. In 1872 my great uncle John Easton emigrated from the Northumberland/ Scottish border to Plum and then Oakmont, Pennsylvania. His son Harry Parkes Easton, born 1876, was an Attorney at Law and married Mildred who was born in Virginia in 1890. The census information does not show children but it is possible they may have been in school elsewhere. In the 1930 census Mildred is not present but Harry is still described as married. Perhaps the couple split up or perhaps she was visiting friends.
I haven't found Harry's death but Mildred died in 1985 in the Bristol district of Rhode Island. ( according to Social Security records). As this is only 20 years ago I wonder if anyone knows anything about Mildred, and whether she and her husband retired to Rhode Island or whether the couple went separate ways. Did they have children or not I wonder.
If anyone can offer me any assistance to discover more about the Eastons and cousin Harry I'd be delighted to hear from them.
