Charles,
I have information on Claude Rhea, Jr., son of Claude Hiram Rhea and Cecile Virginia Walden. Claude Jr. was born in Carrollton, Carroll County, Missouri on October 26, 1927 and died Sept 19, 1990. He had a doctorate in music and received a theological degree from New Orleans Seminary. He was the Dean of the School of Music for several years at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. He was president of Palm Beach Atlantic College, Florida his last years. Claude married Carolyn Priscilla Turnage on August 26, 1951 in Chattahoochee, Gadsen County, Florida.

This Claude lived more recently than the information you provided. However, the music information and place of birth seem to parallel.
