John Kelley Rea

John Kelley Rea, 77, of Mesa, Arizona died August 27, 2004 in Mesa. Mr. Rea
was born August 26, 1927 in Sesser, Illinois to Charles and Sybil Rea. He
served proudly in the United States Navy in WWII and was honorably
discharged. He received his Masters Degree in 1954 from Southern Illinois
University. He met his loving wife of 50 years in North Dakota. They started
their life in Arizona in 1957, and he began his 26 year career as a guidance
counselor with the Phoenix Union High School System. His sense of wit and
humor was unmatched and truly appreciated by all that had the unique
pleasure of knowing him. His fondest memories included family time and
fishing trips at the Rea cabin in Pinetop, Arizona. He was a lifetime member
of the Masonic Lodge, VFW, and the Elks Lodge. He is survived by his wife
Georgianna, sons, John Kelley Rea (wife, Marcia), James Charles Rea (wife,
Julie), sisters, Betty Jo Hampleman, Emma Jane Harris, and most of all the
grandchildren he cherished and adored, Jonathan Kelley Rea, Nicole Michele
Rea, Nathan Kelley Rea, Jamie Bernadette Rea and Hannah Kathryn Rea. He will
remain in our hearts forever. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 A.M., Tuesday,
August 31, 2004 at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 440 E. Elliot Rd, in Gilbert.
Falconer Funeral Home in Gilbert is in charge of arrangements.
