I have not used a mailing list before and am anxious to receive any help
available. My line is at a standstill at my apparent ggg-grandfather, Amos
Rhea b. abt 1793 in SW Virginia or eastern TN. He and his wife Nancy had a
son Daniel Rhea/Ray b. abt. 1835 and I know he is listed as the 24 year old
head of household in the 1860 census of Grainger Co., TN (page 245). He
married a Rebecca or Rachel in Grainger Co. in 1855. His parents are listed
as Amos & Nancy, so Amos is where I need some help. He is listed as Amos
RAY(1799Va- ), Nancy(1806TN- ), Rebecca(1829), Elijah(1833),
Daniel(1835), Susannah(1843), John(1827)in the 1850 Census of Grainger Co
TN. Any further details anyone may have regarding this line would be
appreciated. My g-grandfather is James Hiram Ray/Rhea and I have solid
information regarding he and his wife Malinda Sproles Minnick if anyone can
