I noticed your post to Pat. I am trying to trace down the Rhea family in Mo
also. Would like to see if there is any connection. The James Rhea and family
that I am looking for came from TN just around 1850 give or take a yr. James
Rhea was married to Elizabeth Tipton. They were traveling with adult children
and their goal was Oregon. But they spent a bad winter in KS so some of the
younger family members did go on to Oregon but James his wife and widowed
daughter and her young family went first to Benton Co Mo. James may have
died in Jasper Co. The widowed daughter remarried she is my husbands great
great grandmother. I do get Jackson and Johnson Co(and one of those two co
figure in the story) mixed up but the family was moving all over that area
Benton,Henry,St Clair and even more. Do any of these people click with you?
Other names Boring/Sturges intermarried into the Rhea family. Thanks Ann
