Pat & List,

I received the following today from John ROBERTSON, List manager for
ROBERTSON-L (my mother was a ROBERTSON):

I have long been a subscriber to the free Eastman's Genealogy Newsletter
which until recently had a corporate sponsor. It is still available
online
in a still useful free version and paid enlarged version.

This newsletter has been a useful source to me of computer tips and
new genealogy utilities such as the powerful GENViewer,
http://mudcreek.ca/, how to make auto-run cds and all kinds of
useful stuff. The old issues are, I believe, still available online.

It includes unbiased reviews of recent software releases, and new
genealogy
programs just coming on the market.

Some of the stuff I pass on that makes me look knowledgeable comes from
this newsletter! I had to admit it sooner or later. The stuff you hear
from me
that makes me sound dumb comes from somewhere else!

If you are not a subscriber, I suggest that you visit
http://www.rootsforum.com/newsletter/

This powerful free (or, if you so opt, paid) resource deserves our
support.

John Robertson
List manager

The second article in the current edition is entitled "There Were Three
Brothers And..." Perhaps you are all aware of this newsletter. If not,
"Check it out!"
