Your statement, "Robert Rhea who also lived in Greenville, but who moved
west late in the 1840's", caught my attention. I am a descendant of a
Robert M. Rhea. He was born in about 1807 in Sullivan County, TN as the
son of James Rhea. Robert M. Rhea married Nancy Evans, participated in
the Illinois Black Hawk Indian War in the 1831-1832 timeframe. He moved
to Paris, Illinois by 1837, probably moved there in about 1831. I don't
know anything about any potential siblings other than half-brothers and
half-sisters. Does this ring any other bells about your John Rhea's
family.
