Hi Everyone,
It has been about a year since I sent an outline of my line. Thought I might
try it again. I do know a bit more information than I did and hopefully that
just might help link with someone. I am hunting information on the following
family:

William B. WRAY
b. abt 1805 in NC
married 20 Nov 1828 to Catherine KEEPERS
Catherine b. abt 1809 in NC and d. 4 Mar 1855 Independence Co., Arkansas
family found in the 1830 census of Cape Girardeau Co., Mo.; the 1840 census
of Stoddard Co., Mo.; and the 1850 census of
Independence Co., Arkansas.
William is listed as the sheriff of Stoddard Co., Missouri for 1835, 1836, &
1837
children:
Polly Ann - 1829 Mo-1831 Mo
Elizabeth Jane - 1830 Mo-1911 Ok - md Edwin B. JINKINS
Calvin Columbus - 1832 Mo- 1906 Ark - md Rebecca Malcena LESLEY
Matilda Catherine - 1834 Mo-???? - md Jacob BOYDSTON
William Washington - 1836 Mo -1838 Mo
Easter Melvina - 1838 Mo -1839 Mo
John Meracus - 1840 Mo -????
Eliza Eleanor - 1842 Mo -????
Sarah Rebecca - 1844 Mo -???? - md John R. MILLER
Maria Marceleet - 1846 Mo -1858
Martha Missouria - 1849 Ark -1850
Moherin E. - ????-????

I believe that Catherine Keepers was the daughter of William Keepers and
Cathrine Sifford who were married on 26 Nov 1800 in Lincoln Co., NC. If that
is correct then Catherine Sifford was b. abt 1780 in Rowan Co., NC, the
daughter of Johann Leonard Siefert and Catherine Ann Edelmann.

Elizabeth Jane Wray is my great great grandmother and I have more information
on her family if anyone is interested.

Calvin Columbus Ray had 8 children and I have more information on that family
if anyone is interested.

Matilda Catherine Ray had 7 children and I have a bit more on them but am a
bit stuck.

Am totally lost on John Meracus Wray. However, a John Ray md a Sarah Dowdy
on 4 Sept 1873 in Stoddard Co., Mo and a John Ray md Francis Cype on 17 Jan
1869 in Independence Co., Arkansas. Both of these John Ray folks are
possible candidates.

Am totally stuck on Eliza Eleanor Wray also. I have found where a Eliza Ray
md Jesse Garner on 23 Sept. 1861 in Stoddard Co., Mo and a Eliza Ray md Rufus
M. Sipe in Independence Co., Ark on 8 Sept 1959. Again.... these are
possibilities.

Sarah Rebecca Wray - apparently Sarah md twice. First to a ???? Jinkins and
had 1 son. Then she md John R. Miller and had at least 5 children. She
apparently died young because her Miller children are listed in the Edwin B.
Jinkins/Elizabeth Jane Wray family bible as orphans along with all of their
own children. They helped raise the Miller children.

Would love to swap information on these folks. Thanks so much and take care
