We have 150 on the Rhea-L. I have a question? What direction would you like to see this list take? Surely not all of your questions have been answered! Surely you do not have every name nailed down.

Lets have a discussion directed to the list members. Lets stir it up folks, lets see where we stand.
Also if you want to look at the messages we have on the Threaded Archives since Feb. 1997 take a look. at : http://archiver.rootsweb.com
**********
Here are a few reminders that I posted back in Feb 1997. I am only including those I think we need to keep in mind. Most of us already know them.

If I am going to be a writer and try to get your attention so that you will help me. I must be courteous to you: I must be thoughtful enough to present materials in such a manner as to get and keep your attention; I must write my material in a way that makes it fast, easy, and pleasant to read. With these thoughts in mind consider that the following are NOT RULES, but they are SUGGESTED GUIDELINES for use by genealogy re-searchers and others using discussion lists.

Typing Names so they are easy to READ

ALWAYS type SURNAMES in upper case (CAPITAL) letters.

When listing SURNAMES only, enter a comma and two spaces between the names. This makes for faster, easier reading: RHEA, LAWRENCE, HARVEY, TURNER, HART. (Please do not space between letters of the name, and do not use special characters within a name)

DO NOT use the asterisk * or the slash / as a separator of SURNAMES.

Generally, type names as follows:

SURNAMES, First Second Third "Nickname" Title Maiden name (Although it won't always work out this way, try to make it a standard way of writing names.) Example:

RHEA, Margaret Anna Clarissa "Maggie" Mrs. (Eidson)

When listing SURNAMES with locations, try to make the listings as columns if possible.
RHEA, >IR, VA, KY, IL, KS, MO

Realize that the progression of states is not meant to be alphabetical, but represents the general movement (Migration) of the family the individual is researching and therefore the locations being searched.

All messages will be directed to the list. If you have something personal for someone on the list, that does not belong on the list, be sure and make it that way.

We may all slip up sometimes, but this is a guideline.

Needless to say, I have never been able to put together a web page for Rhea, even though I sure wanted to. Time, Lack of Knowledge in designing a Web page, were my stumbling blocks. But I don't think we need a web page.

We know who we are, and we don't need a webpage to prove it.
