Looking at Notable Southern Familes Vol. II p. 290-293 Rheas

VIII James Rhea

James Rhea 1774-1885, son of Rev. Joseph Rhea and Elizabeth (McIlwaine) Rhea, married 1815 Elizabeth Snapp, 1833-1857, Her second husband was: (2)who married Rev. Alexander Blair, 2nd. The children of James and Elizabeth are

1. Margaret Rhea, 2. John Quintas Rhea, 3. James Rhea II, 4. Elizabeth Rhea, 5. Frances Rhea, 6. Samuel Rhea, 7. Theoderic Bland Rhea.

Each child is listed, with family; except Elizabeth, which leads one to surmise that she died young.

I am still trying to find out what happened to this Elizabeth RHEA, fourth
child of James & Elizabeth Snapp RHEA. She is listed in one of Mr. Foley's
books as born to them around 1823 and then...nothing else. While the fine
folks on this RHEA list have their databases out and doing some research will
you please see what you can find out about her? Did she die as a baby or
youth? If so, when and where is she buried? What was her full birth name? Did
she attend schools and church in Sullivan Co., TN. Some of my research shows
that perhaps she was born in 1821 or 1822 IF it is the same Elizabeth RHEA
and I am aware there were lots of Elizabeths. Please help me....Thanks from
the bottom of my Rhea heart. She is My brickwall and has been one for many
years.
