Hello again PAT! If you were in Georgia you would be a PEACH. Because you
help so many people including myself.
Thanks for the info on Mary Jane RHEA and James NELSON. I have a lot of info
on them from 1850 to 1920. Have not found any wills or other records as yet,
only census and some marriage records for people with the same names as their
children. Their last child was born in 1890, Then James is not listed in the
1900 census, so I assume that he died between 1890 and 1900. (No death
record) Mary is listed in 1900 as living with Margaret RAY (head of
household) and two sisters last names are WELLER which leads me to suspect
that Margaret's maiden name was WELLER, unless the two sisters married two
brothers that same last name. I have no info on when or where James and Mary
died. Have been looking for info on Margaret's marriage, and James parents
(he was born in NC).
It appears that James mother may be named Mary because a Mary Nelson married
a FRESHOUR and James was working for this same FRESHOUR as a blacksmith. But
that is another story. I found a lot of this info while I was in Greeneville
some time back but you know how time is pressing when you are on a vacation.
Anyway PAT I thank you and all other people who have helped me get this far
and any further help will be greatly appreciated. Joe
