No, I don't remember anything from you before. Thank you so much for
replying. This really sounds like a fit and it makes sense. Because most of
the people that came to Texas then came from GA, MS, AL , and LA. They had
migrated down following the land lotteries. This is wonderful. I would love
to know more about your great grandfather and anything else you'd like to
share. I 'll do some digging on this and share what ever else I find with
you. I'd be glad to share what I have on John Riley Rhea after he came to
Texas. He was well thought of and owned alot of land around what is the
Houston area today. When his wife died it took a team of lawyers to probate
her will and divide it up to all her grandchildren.
Thank you so much for responding. I would love to know anything you have on
this line. It will give me something to go on. What area of LA did they
live in? This is exciting. I hope I can prove this to be right. It would
be right for him not to be mentioned in the will because by then he was
married and had several leagues of land in Texas. His father probably felt
he had enough. (or step mother)
Thank you again,
