Julie Ratliff,
My third great grandfather was a John R. Rhea from Philadelphia, PA. He
was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1761 and died in Clinton, LA in 1843. He
married, first, Hulda Montgomery at the Second Presbyterian Church in
Philadelphia in 1880. I feel sure that they had children, maybe two, based
on a note that I found in a book stating that he had 15 children. I found
only his 13 children or grandchildren listed in the will of his 2nd. wife and
in his will. He came to Louisiana, after Hulda's death, and married my third
great grandmother. Since they did not name any of their 13 children John and
since many of the other names followed typical Scottish naming patterns, I
feel sure that he had had a child named John by his first wife, Hulda
Montgomery.
Possibly, I have sent this information before, but I found parts of this
E-mail in my mail waiting to be sent. Since I am not sure if I have answered
