John Rhea of Lincoln Co., TN (1776-1839) was probably not the father of
Pleasant Vincent Uriah Jackson Harris(son) Rhea. John and Sally Rhea did
have a son Pleasant Vincent Rhea, but he was born in 1803, moved to
Washington Co., AR circa 1829, and died there in 1864.
I also am a descendant of Pleasant Vincent Uriah Jackson Harrison Glenn Rhea
(1821-1901), he married Mary Elizabeth Fannin in 1845, Bedford Co., TN, and
moved to Hood Co., TX in 1855, he lived there until his death in 1901. Many
people assume that this P. V. Rhea was the son of John and Sally Rhea, but
their son Pleasant was born much earlier in 1803.
I have not ever been able to find parents for the younger P. V. One
descendant has claimed that P. V. U. H. G. Rhea was the son of Joseph Rhea
and Frances Jackson, but I have not been able to find any documentation to
prove it.
