Hi Sondra,
In 1777 John's father, William Rhea, promised to leave his farm to John,
the only son still at home, if John would stay home and help run the farm.
When William died, in 1802, his will didn't carry out the promise. John's
mother died in 1804 and then John sued his siblings to gain possession of
the land. John won.
