The earthquake was about 1000 or more miles from us. We had a smaller
on just after we arrived, but I didn't even feel it. It was unrelated to the
big bad one that killed so many people. We had a great time and felt we mad
a valuable contribution. I want to go back as soon as we can. A totally
different world. One very surprising thing how ever was that the Indian's in
N.E. India are Tribal and Oriental or as the say Mongolian, the same race
who came over to America. Most other Indians are Caucasian. One day I met a
student from the N.E.who looked so much like a photo of my grandmother (who
was at least half N.A.American Indian) when she was a young woman. I took
the students picture but that film was lost. When I listened to some of the
students talking in our kitchen where I could not see them, they sounded
like Cherokee or one of the tribal languages I have heard before in the US.
Small world, huh!Dr. Bob!

I am looking for. Febra is a name I found in an old letter, not proven.
These Rheas ended up in the Hawkins/Hancock/Claiborne area of TN.
> And Dr. Bob good to hear you are alive and kicking, last I heard you
were in India and they had that BIG earthquake.
> Researchers tell me that no one lived in the above counties in the 1760's,
only longhunters, Indians and a few white people scattered here and there
because of the French and Indian War. Sooo I am thinking, if that is right
then my Rheas had to be in another settlement then made the jump to TN.
Just can't seem to connect him with any on the others.
