"The descendants of
Simon Ray of Rhode Island continued for generations but died out. The famed
Augustine Herrman of Bohemia Manor, Maryland, planned to establish a family
dynasty but (h)is line died out in less than a century. Some colonists left
male line descendants for a few generations, but these descendants returned
to Europe and have not been traced."
