Marriage Bond: John Rhea to Mary Dennis

State of Tennessee
Green County

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, that we, John Rhea and John Balch, are bound unto Joseph McMinn, Governor of said State for the time being and to his successors in office in the sum of twelve hundred and fifty dollars; to be void on condition that there is no lawful cause to obstruct the marriage of the said John Rhea to Polly Dennis of said County, or to pay and satisfy all costs of Damages that may be awarded and recovered in consequence of such marriage being illegal.

Given under our hands and seals the 23rd. day of April 1816
