Hi:
Would it be possible for you to snail-mail me any other information you may
have on Elijah Walden Rhea? Or did you just find the reference you quoted
from Oregon Pioneers?
Some of my Jesse Rhea's children went from Monroe Co., TN to Oregon and got
land grants as first settlers. They were some of those who traveled The
Oregon Trail. Wiley Rhea and Louis Rhea were their names and they married
Humphrey sisters. I have a good bit of information on them.
We have never been able to tie Elijah in to either my Jesse Rhea or Robert
Rhea, Jr. families. Can't even connect Jesse and Robert, although I'm
convinced there is a connection somewhere as they were in the same areas at
the same time -- Virginia, N.C., and east TN. That's what makes genealogy
fun, I suppose, or at least what keeps us genealogists hooked!
Thanks!
Polly Dixon in Houston
