Appears that some of the Rheas you mention are those which I find
distantly involved with my Haddon and Wymore families in Greenbrier Co.,
WVA and in KY. The Haddons were considerably intermarried with the Meek
family. Interestingly enough, my husband has a Meek family also but they
are from South Carolina and some go to McNairy Co., TN., and Hardin Co.,
TN. From the surnames involved with both Meek families (mine and my
husband's), I think that they were somehow related but haven't taken the
time to work it out. There was also some Clark families in the same area
of WVA who had married into my Lafferty and Stewart families. These
families had likely been in the Augusta Co., VA., area previous to going
into WVA and KY.

If you would like I could send you what little I have about these folks.
Don't know if it would help any or not.

I much suspect that the Lewis Rhea in Hancock Co., IL., is one and the
same with the Louis Ray in my reference above but can't say for sure.
The reason being is that Ute Perkins, b. 1760 in Lincoln Co., NC., father
of William Gantt Perkins (who was the husband of Dicey Rhea/Ray), died in
Hancock Co., IL. Ute, b. 1760, had been on the trek to SLC but did not
get any further than Hancock Co., IL.
