There was a Lewis Rhea, who married a sister of my g.g.grandmother Virlinda
Lawrence Rhea. The sister's name was Rhoda Lawrence, and they were married
in Barren co. Ky. April 20, 1830. Charles Y. Estes, gave permission for
Lewis to marry. James Rhea paid the bond. Martha Rhea is listed as Lewis's
mother. (Charles Y. Estes was married to Lucy Lawrence, another sister, and
were later located in Sullivan co. MO.)
Martha Rhea was either the wife of Thomas Rhea, son of James and Elizabeth
Meek Rhea, or the wife of Thomas Rhea, son of Robert and Martha Meek Rhea.
James and Robert were sons of William and Elizabeth Clark Rhea.

Later, Rhoda married Adam Vancil 1-25-1848 Lic. No. 1790 Morgan Co. IL Vol.
B pg. 59 Quite alot on the Vancil's in IL.

I find a Lewis Rhea in Hancock Co. IL Census records, and I don't know if
it is the same person or not.
