>From his age, i.e., born in 1792, I would say that he was too young to
have married any of John Ray/Rae/Rea/Rhea's daughters. It would be more
likely that he would have been a grandson and a son of Mary Ray/Rea and
her Brazell husband. John would have been born about 1739 according to
his tombstone and Mary (Polly) would have been born about 1743 according
to her tombstone. Mary would have been 49 in 1792 and although she could
maybe have had children then, I would doubt it. I even wonder if she
could be the mother of my Lucy who married Levi Perkins because was born
1787 had it not been for the Mormon record showing Lucy as an aunt of
Dicey Ray.

I would more likely think that your Elias was married to Pherby Hudson,
daughter of Ezekiel Hudson and Fareby Rhea. They married in 1801. Do
you have an approximate date of birth for your Pherby who married Elias?

There's no doubt that your Elias was a descendant of this John Rae. Now
just to figure out how.
