Do you have an approximate birth year for your Elias Brazell? This might
help a little. Perhaps he married Pherby Ray/Rea/Rhea after his first
wife died. Pherby had married Ezekiel Hudson and perhaps that is why she
is referred in the newspaper as Pherly Hudson, wife of Elias Brazel. I
would sure like to figure this out. The Mormon record refers to her as
Pherby (Ray) Hudson and that she was the daughter of John Rea and aunt of
Dicy Ray Perkins. Dicey was the daughter of Aaron Ray who was a son of
John Ray.
I am most anxious to figure out this family as I have worked on it for a
long time. I am hoping we have good luck in working this out.
We have bought some land on Tim Fords Lake in Winchester, TN., which is
about 45 minutes from Huntsville, AL. It'll be about 2-3 years before we
get to move there and retire but I'm hoping to do more research when I
get there also. We live in Ohio now.
Please keep in touch. You're the closest I have found to date as to
making a connection for this family. I am reviewing some more of the
Mormon record now and hoping to find some more information about John's
family.
