I tried to send the following to Mack Rhea personally but it came back
undeliverable so am sending to the list:

I am most excited and grateful about your two postings. This is the
first info I have seen lately about my John Rae and his wife, Mary
(Polly) Bolon and any of their descendants.

You state that Luna Rae/Rhea/Ray is the brother of Moses Ray/Rae/Rhea.
Where did you find this information? In the records which I have I find
no such information. Would sure like to nail down this John's children.

I have a typed copy of some Mormon records which I found. Would be glad
to share if I knew where to send them. Contact me at

The William Perkins and wife Dicey mentioned in the one record are:
William Gantt Perkins and Dicey Ray who went to Utah early with the
Mormom movement. Dicey was the daughter of Aaron, son of John and Mary,
and Nancy Howell.

The Elias Brazel mentioned must be a son of Mary Ray whose Brazel
husband's given name I do not know.

I know that Worth Ray in his book suggested that Looney/Luna Ray/Rea/Rhea
was the son of this John but I can't find him in any of the original
records relating to this family.

I descend from Lucy Rhea who married Levi Perkins. Lucy was also a
daughter of John and Mary Rae.

Would love to exchange ideas and information.
