On March 30, 1992 I received this information from Kathleen Pennington, a descendant of Moses Rhea (brother of Luna Rhea, Sr.). Some of you may find the information interesting:

"The article enclosed was in the 1845 Gazette Newspaper (a Warren Co. paper). Our Chancery Court records only wnt back to 1847."...

"Chancery Court at McMinnville TN. Uriah York adm of the estate of Nancy Cooper deceased and adm .... of George W. Cooper deceased and filed in his own rights and of Fanny York his, wife, complaint against: James Rhea Sr., James Rhea Jr., Dyer Rhea, Jane Rhea, Elizabeth Rhea, Mary Rhae, ____Rhea, John Rhea, Alfred Rhea, Lewis Rhea, William Perkins and wife, Dicey, D. Shipley and wife Martha, J. Pryor and wife Viney, Hiram Rhea and Mary, his wife, Elias Brazel and his wife Pherly Hudson, Elizabeth Christian, and John Cooper Jr., and other defendants. All named are not citizens of Tennessee. Commanding the above named defendants to personally appear at the next term of our Chancery Court to be holden at the court house in the town of McMinnville in the state aforesaid then and there to plead answer to said bill of the same will be taken for a confessed and set for hearing exparte.

This is an amendd and supplemented bill bringing new parties before the court and praying as in the original bill that everything touching that estate of Nanacy and George W. Cooper deceased may be adjudicated upon and settled by the court.
