Maybe we're onto a little bit something here. This is all very
interesting. Thanks for sharing.
The more info I see about these particular Rheas, the more I think that
Moses Wray of Franklin Co., VA., must be the father of my Ezekiel
Wray/Ray and the grandfather of my Sebird Smith Rhea.
You mention the surname Wright amongst the information about the Cookes
and the Kefauver, etc., and there are some earlier Wrights involved with
this Moses Wray of Franklin Co., VA., also. See the following:
6 Feb 1797. Virginia Land Grants #38, page 92. Moses Wray, Sr.
Franklin Co., VA. 235 acres adjoining William Wright and Daniel Wray.
9 Apr 1802. Franklin County, Virginia Wills, 1786-1812, by T. L. C.

1991, pg 60. Franklin County Will Book 1, pg 209. Will. I, Moses Wray
of Franklin Co., VA., am sick of body (but of) sound memory. I allow all
my lawful debts to be paid. To my wife Elizabeth Wray - all my horses,
cattle, hogs, bedding & furniture, household furniture, to dispose of at
her own discretion. To my sons(s) Moses, Elijah, John, Wm, Andrew, Isaac
Wray - all the land that I possess, except my wife's dower or thirds, to
be sold and equally divided after the death of my wife. To my sons
James, Benjamin, Daniel, Ezekiel Wray - 10 shillings each. To George
Wray - 10 shillings. To my daughter Mary Wright - 10 shillings. To "my
well beloved Tabita Wright" - 10 shillings. To my daughter Rebeccah - 10
shillings. To my daughters Margaret Grimes, Elizabeth Wray, Geny Wray -
10 shillings each. Executors: my wife Elizabeth Wray and my son Moses
Wray. Signed Apr 9, 1802 - Moses (n his mark) Wray. Wit - James Wright,
William Brown, John Wright. At Franklin Court of Oct 4, 1802, this will
of Moses Wray dec'd was proved by the oath of all 3 witnesses, and
ordered recorded. And on the motion of executor Elizabeth Wray, together
with James Wright, William Brown, and William Wray, her securities, who
entered into bond in the penalty of $1000, certificate is granted her for
obtaining a probate, liberty being reserved the other executor to join in
the probate when he shall see fit.

appraisement of the estate of Moses Wray, deceased. Items mentioned
include: Delft ware, cattle, 1 rifle, old iron tools. Total value: £88
10 shillings 7 pence. Signed - John Wright, Wm Wright, Samuel Huston.
