Dear Ed,
I am looking for information on my ancestor, Lucy A. Rea who married Walter
G. Warthen on 24 December 1823 in Henry County, Virginia, "consent of Mildred
Rea."
The Reas on your webpage seem to be primarily from Pennsylvania, but I
thought I'd write to see if you have ever run across the family of Lucy A.
Rea?
There's a family legend that she was named for an Aunt Lucy Merriwether of
the Merriwether Lewis' Merriwether's) but we have no proof. She is also
supposed to be somehow related to the Carr family of Virginia, but so far I
have found no such connection.
I look forward to hearing from you.
