There are a number of Rhea cousins in the Saltville VA area. The Rheas,
Prestons, Carters and other close cousins lived in this county (Washington,
VA) and the neighboring Sullivan Co. TN.

There is also a family of Rhea/Rays in Washington Co. who do not seem to be
connected to this larger group - the descendants of John and Hannah Hasty
Ray. The only Paul Rhea I show died in 1904 as a small boy, part of this
smaller family group.

I show only one Dye married to a Rhea cousin - Flora Fay Dye married to
William Carter b. 1889, grandson of Margaret Rhea and John Earhart.
William had a sister named Arlene Estil Carter. William and Flora lived in
Saltville.
