Bob,
John Lawrence Rhea, was the son of James and Virlinda Lawrence Rhea of
Cumberland Co. Ky and Morgan Co. IL. James father was Thomas Rhea and mother
was Martha Rhea. Yes Thomas was married to his first cousin. Thomas Rhea's
father was James Rhea and mother was Elizabeth Meek. James father was William
Rhea and Elizabeth Clark, William's father was Archibald and ? and
Archibald's father was Matthew Campbell Reagh and mother was Janet Baxter.

John Lawrence Rhea lived in Morgan Co. IL, Cherokee Co. Ks and Miami Co. Ks.
He was my g.g.grandfather. His first wife was Mary Ann Turner of Morgan Co.
IL she died in Cherokee Co. Ks. He then married Margaret Anna Clarissa
Eidson, dau of Franklin I. Eidson and Mary J. Brady. Their first child was
Addie Evangeline Rhea, she went by Eva, she was my g.grandmother. She was
married to Oran Albert Smith, and 2nd to Jacob Wheat. Oran and her had a set
of twins. one was stillborn, the other was My grandfather Lawrence Lee Smith
Rhea. He changed his name legally to Rhea a few days before he married my
grandmother, because his mom and dad couldn't get along so his dad left and
never came back. He figured he was more a Rhea then a Smith, since he lived
most of his younger years with his grandparents. His daughter Rena Marie Rhea
is my mother.
